In a much lower hitting era Uecker had 843 PAs compiling .200 .293 . 287 stats and an OPS+ of 62. Cash has 677 PAs hitting (?) .184 .249 .283 for a 38 OPS+. So Uecker's OPS+ is 63.16% higher than Cash's. That suggests that he was more than just slightly better as a hitter.

Although, Uecker has been regarded as the worst hitter in baseball history, but not any more in my book!

There was a point made in the group in the past that you could root against Tampa without having to root for the Skanks. I hope that they beat each other up. AND I'll be rooting for Jon Lester and the Sox tomorrow from section 18 of the infield grandstand! Go Sox! BTT 4-7-10! |
