Even better! When the fans of the other team show up in your group to
insult you, you're not just a contender but an outright threat to win
the pennant!

Your brain also needs some developing, although it is very close
with Votto-Pujols, so far.
Pujols best two months of the season historically over the past 10
years are: August and September.
Votto may not keep up with the .340+ hitting Pujols in the
August-September months!

http://www.baseballprospectus.com/statistics/sortable/index.php?cid=138136
Value over Replacement Player (VORP numbers through Aug. 9)

NL

1. Votto 52.6
2. Pujols 52.0

1/2 season doesn't make Votto a better player, and Pujols is a
GG winner, and may win another this year.

And, while Hernandez is doing better with the bat, no catcher
is better in shutting down the running game in all of MLB than Yadier
Molina. That alone saves a lot of runs, as much value as if he batted them
in himself on the offensive side.

One of your ex-Cardinals is in the MINORS.
Isringhausen, so he doesn't count.

Franklin has 19 saves.
How many does Springer (Isringhausen-MINORS) have? ZERO!
Denny Reyes has done an excellent job as a spot reliever, as has
Miles.
LaRue gives Molina a much-needed break, and has done a good job
defensively and with the pitchers.
Lopez is in a fill-in role not at his regular position because of
(3b) Freese's season-ending injury, but has performed adequately.
Lohse had an unfortunate injury, but may be ready to pitch within 2
weeks, and hopefully will do well.
Meanwhile, Edmonds is trending down, Cairo plays (3b) mostly to give
Rolen a needed break.
Lastly, Springer has appeared in exactly 2 games and 1.2 IP with you
guys. Not a factor, and at age 41, may call it quits after 2010.

True (merely to pick-on the so-called wannabe-leaders), but why
haven't the REDS' fans showed up in the Cards ng all these years of almost
total Cardinals' domination of the NL Central?
ROTFL!
