Suspensions
Cueto got a 7-game suspension for his role in the brawl. Baker and LaRussa got 2 games each. Rolen, Springer, Molinda, Carpenter fined. Baker/LaRussa start serving on Friday. Cueto starts Friday as well unless appealed. Cueto likely to miss his Sunday start. With all of the options, that's not horrible. A... 13 Aug 2010 14:44
Phillips - More mouthing off

Cardinal Reds
Over on the Cards site, someone posted about all the ex-cards WJ has picked up. One of the responses was "bet he doesn't get Pujols and Molina." I decided against pointing replying "no need, our 1B and catchers are already better than yours" :) ... 12 Aug 2010 14:51
Down Goes The Cardinals! (And Reds-Cubs Tonight)
Marlins 5, Cardinals 4 (F, 10) Hanley Ramirez doubled in the winning run off Ryan Franklin with one out in the bottom of the tenth. Franklin allowed the tying run in the ninth also, serving up a homer to Dan Uggla. Cardinals waste a quality start from Jake Westbrook, Reds get a slight bit of breathing room atop... 7 Aug 2010 23:29

Bruce
This guy really went into the crapper after June. On July 2nd: .283/.356/.476, 10 HR 36 RBI July: .200/.245/.264 August: .083/.083/.083 What the hell happened? Confidence? Pressure? Both? Might not be a bad idea to send him down to right the ship and bring Dickerson back. He's tearing the cover of... 4 Aug 2010 21:19
Stubbs & numbers
..229 BA ..297 OBP ..391 SLG ..688 OPS 111 K's in 346 AB (32 BB) ..053 BA in last 6 games How long does he keep getting run out there or do the Reds look at his 49 RBI and be content? He fanned 3 thimes Saturday so improvement is not visible to me. ... 1 Aug 2010 13:48
More Good News For reds Fans
More good news from the world of baseball - if you're a Reds fan anyway: Mets 4, St. Louis 0 (Final). Mets take 2 of 3 from the Cardinals and knock them into second place. For those of you keeping score at home, that's the tenth time this season the Cardinals have been shut out. Knuckleball specialist R.A. Di... 30 Jul 2010 00:01

Dammit, this is frustrating
That's two straight games where Travis Wood has pitched great and the offense hasn't scored a single run for him. How can a guy make four starts with a 2.00 ERA and not get a single win? Taking a zero against Roy Halladay is forgivable, but facing Aaron Cook in GABP? If I had the hair to spare, I'd rip it out. ... 19 Jul 2010 10:17
Jay Bruce
Bruce had made serious efforts to progress in April and May but now looks totally lost over the last month. He might just need to start sitting against lefties. Continuing to swing at first pitch balls now and losing any sense of what a strike or ball is. He really can't cover the outside of the plate with his swin... 18 Jul 2010 17:05
mlb tv question
any of you signed up for MLB TV & use it with a Roku? I ask because I don't know if you can only use one Roku box at a time per subscription & the website does not answer that question. I want to use it but I want to be able to move around the house & have a game on more than one TV without having to log off... 17 Jul 2010 14:12

Pitching...And Say Hello To Russ Springer
If you wanted Weathers back, you may have just gotten your wish...sort of. The Reds have signed Russ Springer to a minor league contract. He's a 41-year old right-handed reliever who had two excellent years with the Cardinals in 2007 and 2008, went to the AL last year and didn't do nearly as good with the Rays ... 16 Jul 2010 12:12
Anyone see Rolen's helmet in the ASG?
It was one of the funkiest looking I've seen yet. Instead of the ribs just on the side, it looked like it had them all over, like a modified biker's helmet experiment gone bad. I don't get to see them on tv much, is that what he wears all the time? On a 2nd half note, I was a bit concerned that he was sit... 15 Jul 2010 08:49
