From: john smith on 21 May 2010 12:58 Lincoln really blew it up after two innings yesterday. But he has given them some quality innings this year. It's been a long road back after that bulging disc and other injuries. He lives and dies with his yacker. For the first two innings yesterday, his yacker was pretty impressive. The ninth inning is hard thing to throw out. But, he hasn't been all that bad this year. I find it hard to believe that seeing that one save in his column would have made him happier than just putting two goose eggs on the board and leaving on a positive note. More often then not, Baker will literally wait for things to blow up before he makes a move. He will never give the incoming reliever any room for error. Stubbornness is just a trait of managing the Baker way. |
