Lets see:

1. he wears his hat crooked
2. he doesnt speak proper english

These are youre reasons for not liking him? Overall performance has no
bearing on the situation?

The only thing missing from your description of him is explicit use
of the n word.

There must be something really really wrong with me. For some reason i
just cant seem to care about things like how a player wears his hat or
whether or not he has good grammar. I only care about his performance
and whether the club wins or loses games because of it.

I do however care about what others focus on. It fascinates me to no
end how people can obsess over things that i consider to be totally
superficial.
