Was today's loss the fifth 1-0 shutout loss this year? In 1968 - the
so-called Year of the Pitcher - they were blanked 1-0 four times for
THE ENTIRE SEASON.

' They need a offensive weapon right now, but where's it going to be
found?

Meanwhile tonight's opponents, the Washington Nationals, come to town on a
21-inning scoreless streak. In the last two games of their just-concluded series
against the Marlins, they went 0-for-18 with RISP. Everybody's favorite ex-Red
went 1-for-7 with 5 strikeouts in those two games. Just sayin'.
