Oswalt was injured part of last season, and posted the worse ERA of
his career. Looks like it was just an off year - his ERA is back at
2.42 for this year, and he's put up a quality start each time out.
I'm not going to hold my breath on him stinking it up tonight :)

Well, he didn't stink it up exactly. In fact, he had a quality start, allowing
three runs in seven innings of work. Nonetheless, the Reds hung an L on him and
B-Yo got the W.

Arroyo threw 105 pitches. Oswalt threw 119. Just sayin'.

OK, maybe I'll back off a tad on that because it apparently struck
such a deep seeded nerve with you.

I don't have to "personally" know someone to form not only an opinion,
but more often than not - a very fair and concise assesment of the
person. I can give so many examples but I'm not going to bother typing
them....you do it also everyday so it's not like I'm inventing
something new here.

I will somewhat quote a former "real" Red's manager in saying "please
don't embarrass Brandon Phillips by comparing him to Joe Morgan." <--
taken before the 76 WS when the Spark was asked to compare Thurmon
Munson to Johnny Bench. ;-)

FWIW I don't read the local rag when it comes to the Reds.....too what
- read PeeDoc or Bill Cocke? No thank you, I can learn more by
watching with my own eyes then these "paid" reporters who'd never
attend another Red's game unless they were paid...lol.

Dude, I have never felt bummed out in watching Leake pitch, trust me
on that. But facts are facts. I look forward to seeing him in (more
than likely) an American League uniform pitching in the playoffs and
world series.. Just saying. ;-)
