Further...........Dusty says, "Willy T could be Wally Pipp."

Willy T.............Wally P....................I guess I 'hear' the
similarity when you say it out loud.

No way!!!

I'm seriously considering a letter writing campaign to Baker/Walt/Bob
this offseason. They cant run Willy out there 2010.

I will say Willy wasn't bad the first month and a half. After that,
terrible. Still he would never walk which is an absolute must in
a lead off hitter and I don't think I ever saw him bunt for a hit.
He put down a lot of bunts but got thrown out everytime I saw him.
For all his supposed speed, I never really saw him leg out an
infield hit. He made them close but he never got there.

Maybe Walt can do what he did with Freel, throw him in and try to
get somedbody to eat a bit of his salary. And also, maybe he
was somewhat injured. We might not know the entire story.

Interesting. I don't know that I've heard very many managers bringing up Wally
Pipp very often. If I'm Drew Stubbs, I consider this good news.
