Interestingly enough, the Grizzlies have been getting stellar performances from their bullpen recently. Alex Hinshaw has hardly been dominating, but he hasn't allowed any runs for a while. Joe Paterson and Geno Espineli have also been productive out of the pen. All three are left-handers. At least one of them has GOT to be moved up to San Francisco, at least for the short term, while waiting for D-Train and Affeldt and Runzler. The move may backfire, but this has GOT to happen right now with the heavy-hitting left-handed Dodgers lineup in town. Surely, management realizes now that Denny Bautista is not the answer. Move Bautista and maybe Casilla down and bring two lefties up from Fresno. I was at the Grizzlies game tonight watching the Grizzlies take an early lead and coast to victory. The Grizzlies are in their own barnburner of a pennant race with the Sacramento River Cats, but the real energy, of course, was on the radio that I took with me to hear the Giants-Dodgers game. But I followed the Grizzlies game, as well. Espineli and Paterson didn't pitch tonight, though Hinshaw did. I'm hoping this means that someone got the call.

Wilson's back locked up on him during warmups, so they held him out for protective reasons. He should be good to go by today, Or not ....

I thought Sanchez was a head case, but Casilia is amazing in the way he seems to fear hitters or the strikezone. |
