I know he's lost 3 or 4 steps, but he's still tough as nails and good in the locker room". ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ And I'll bet the ranch youse know, foist hand, just how good! Wow! You were the guy who high as heaven on Ellsbury and promised us all he'd be a star. Now you hate him because he got bad medical advice from the RS. Odd, but I've stopped counting.

The deal was a risk to the RS only if Beltre was terrible, which was highly unlikely unless he was injured. As it worked out, it could not be better for the RS. True, they MIGHT have gotten a bargain longterm contract, but that is not the Boras way. Beltre was confident in his abilities, and we see why. He is a really cheap near superstar right now.
