Sean used to post regularly in Rec.Sports.Baseball. The Usenet version
of this group for all teams. Several of the guys associated with
Baseball Prospectus and several other sites did is well.

If you don't like the ads, you are more than welcome to sponsor some
pages. We all have to pay the bills somehow.

Ah. Copy that. Thanks for clearing that up Kevin.

Oh, I see. I had no clue that Vada played for that
long. Thanks for clearing that up for me.

That's kind of what I was getting at Zuke. I knew
of the history of Pinson and his part in Red's history.

I knew of just about every player and who they played for and their
batting stance/pitcher's delivery
etc. and had not a clue that Vada even attempted to
play in nineteen freeking seventy six, mind boggling
to me. That's a cool opinion that James has him
ranked so high, that speaks volumes.

I'm definitely going to check out Vada's stats again
seeing how he has been brought up.

Relative to the length of Vada's career............did anyone note that he
was a chain smoker? He would light up in the tunnel between innings.
