Don't read this if you have not seen Fight Club and want to .... Fight club revolves around the friendship between the narrator and a man named Tyler Durden. Their friendship seems to start when they are fist fighting with each other. Tyler's appeal to the narrator is that Tyler lives life by his own rules. Over the course of the movie, it is revealed that Tyler is a construct of the narrator's mind. Apparently you and I spent the morning doing the exact same thing on baseball-reference without either of us being aware of what the other was doing. That is similar to how Tyler acted upon the world from the same body without the narrator being fully aware. Too much splainin. dfs

Was coming off a terrible year and hadn't actually played well for years. He didn't retire in 1976, nobody wanted him. I think he's a classic illustration in how a player with poor plate discipline but a quick bat is finished the moment the bat slows. |
