I forget which year it was (1992 or 1993) when Deion Sanders tossed a bucket
of water over Tim McCarver's head and McCarver cursed on National TV. I may
be wrong about that but does someone else know?

Thanks,
David M

I don't remember McCarver cursing. As I remember, he said something
like "REAL classy, Deion. Real classy." I could probably dig out the
video tape and confirm that, but why subject myself to watching
McCarver any more than necessary?

It was 1992, the Sid Bream slide series.

I don't recall McCarver cursing at Deion. I don't recall being able
to hear McCarver say anything on the live broadcast, but I do remember
hearing/seeing it in a highlight clip later. Sanders is walking
around the clubhouse with the bucket of water saying, "Where's
McCarver?" Dave Justice points him out, simultaneously, McCarver says,
"McCarver's right here." By the tone of his voice, you could sense
that McCarver was expecting a confrontation. Sanders then throws the
water on him.

McCarver also says, "You're a real man, Deion."

I don't like McCarver, but I like Deion even less.
