Now I just better get back to that stat sheet. Oh here it is 24 saves
for Coco Cordero. As I slap my hand on my head, I should have realized
Cordero is just awesome. Man, the Reds are lucky to have this guy......

A loss like this is only bad if you let it be. Theres something called
resilience. This club, unlike some of thier fans, have shown they have
plenty of it.

I hope you dont. Why torture yourself. when the situation is
completely hopeless; something that should be obvious to us all but
only you seem to grasp.

Why do you whine so much? Its called a slump. Every player ever has
had them. The dude knows what a strike zone is.

One good thing to see about this newsgroup is we fuss wether we are in
first or not . But no matter what they should have taken last nites
game!

I have no solution on Cordero, his contract means the Reds are married
to him at this point. In addition Baker doesn't have anyone else to go
to at this point. I really don't know if there is a closer out there
worth obtaining?

As far as me criticizing Cordero or how the team is playing that is my
right. I also give them credit when they play well.

As far as Jay Bruce is concerned, he looks like a different player over
the last 3 weeks. His total abandonment of patience is quite difficult
to watch, especially over the last 10 games. I think it started getting
bad with the Haliday homer at GAAP. He seems to look to jerk everything
in the RF stands now.. Bruce is in more than a slump, he is starting to
look like the player he was for most of the season last year minus
September. This offense has done well but in reality it is very fragile.
It has too many unproven commodities that one can say were playing over
their heads. Add in Cabrera's age and Scott Rolen's health and it is
prone to go south at anytime.

I really hope the team rebounds but heading up against Doc and Hamels
over the next two will be really tough. Another gut check time.

Does anybody really believe this team can win a division with Cordero as
the closer?

Oh I have a theory on why Mike Leake was in there after 8 innings
yesterday, it was Dusty trying to get the young kid his first complete
game. It was like trying to get Mike Lincoln a 3 inning save in the
Atlana debacle. Oh well......
