Cards leading NL with 75 SO's with RISP; batting .227 in same situation x-no-archive: yes According to Matthew Leach of MLB.com who covers the Cardinals (on KMOX this morning), he said the Cardinals lead the NL in SO's with RISP, with a horrible 75. The next worse NL team (did not name the team) has 67 SOs. The team also is batting a miserable .227 with RISP. Who do you blame... 9 May 2010 13:17
Terrible hitting by Cardinals First let me say I prefer 2-1 scores over the high-scoring slugfests and bad pitching of 1998 and 1999. Our pitching has been terrific and I'd rather have great pitching and weak hitting than great hitting and weak pitching. Defense has been good as well. Offense I can't quite understand the Cardinals lack of production yesterday. Sure there were two baserunners called out who were safe, but that wouldn't have changed the outcome.
