From: Bob Braun on 20 Apr 2010 15:25 Okay....we know this dipshit is rehabbing from TJ surgery. Can they activate him the last 50 games of the season, and let him 'serve' his suspension, and be ready for opening day 2011? Or would he have to appear in a game, then start his suspension???

Actually the report I saw said he could serve his suspension while still on the DL. He would just forfeit his salary for the 50 games. Could this actually be a good thing for the Reds? Scott

If what you say is true, the only one getting hurt by this is Volquez. Thanks for that info.

His suspension starts today. He will not miss any time that he wouldn't have missed due to being on the DL. He will miss about 100k net though.

Yeah, a guy you are counting on to be ace of your staff has been roiding. No, shouldn't affect anything at all. Of course Fay was just saying that the suspension wouldn't take place while he was available to play but he nor any other talking heads seem to be facing this other major problem. Edison's excuse would be funny if it weren't so sad. It resembles Manny's excuse to me. I don't think it was too long ago we had a thread on Dominicans and roids.
