I wanted to stay out of this one. I think my lib credentials are all in
order. No fan of Bush here. Either one. BUT. The multiple sources for
this quote all trace back to Capitol Hill Blue, and this is what you get
when you go there now...

http://www.capitolhillblue.com/artman/publish/article_7779.shtml

This is also what I call a very credible source though the righties here
would surely argue and have...

http://www.factcheck.org/askfactcheck/did_president_bush_call_the_constitution_a.html

There are enough things said that can be verified that are part of the
public record if you want to go for it. I happen to believe both Bush and
Cheney are criminals and should be tried for war crimes and possibly
treason. Not going to happen. I know that. But to use this particular
story to make your argument is just wrong.

Note that this is a liberal is pointing out a falsehood coming from my side.
THAT is called "fair & balanced". I'm waiting for a con to do the same.
I'm afraid that will be a long damn wait.

Massive kudos Dano. Regarding Cheney, I had heard the story and yes it was
unprofessional, quite, but he was provoked and I read (probably a shitty
source) that it wasn't during 'normal' operating hours but instead, during a
photo shoot. Lot's of what Cheney did was uncouth and I was no fan.

Not at all, seriously. I never said he didn't. Just that I saw no credible
proof.
