Very interesting. This article was in the Sunday paper, and made it
online for a short while before being removed.

Basically, John Fay asked Phillips if he had time for an interview.
Phillips said no and Fay went about his business. Phillips came up to
him later and said "I"ve been here a week and now you want to talk to
me?" Fay's take on it was that Phillips was upset that he had written
his first 3 articles on Votto, Rolen and Bruce. He cited a few lack
of hustle incidents from last year and used them to change the
comparison to Barry Larkin to a contrast, and then pointed out that
you have to wonder how long he'll be a Red with Frazier spending time
at 2B in the minors. The term maturity or lack thereof was used as
well.

Move along. Nothing to see here.
John Fay being a prick. He may have a point w/respect to BP, but writers
shouldn't EVER write this story. It makes everybody look like a pig
including the writer.

Definitely took me by surprise. I've never seen him write anything
like that. Hal McCoy did so a few years ago.
