He's done it more than once I think. Ever since the Yankees beat the
Sox several years ago by the Sox using that shift on Giambi and him
doing exactly what Sarge described I've hated seeing them use it.

I think I recall that. I was begging for that again last night. I'd like
to think he had it in mind. I wonder if anyone asked him after the game.
Or if he was even talking.

If he did try it wasn't successful.

Ortiz last bunt hit was 2006. He had 3 that year.

His only other successful bunt was in 2005
