From: Joe Schmoe on 10 Aug 2010 07:34 I watched only the first five innings or so of the game last night. I see why the Braves like Mike Minor. He looks to have excellent control and a nice variety of pitches. I was surprised to see that the speed of his fastball was not 90-91 MPH as been mentioned, but was more like 92-93. He struck out one batter on a fastball at 95. This is very good heat for a LH pitcher, so he is not just a crafty junkballer. The changeup was very nice, and he probably should have thrown it more. He threw the curveball for low strikes. He's green, but he has a lot of promise.
