Is it just me, or does every throw from McCann go into centerfield?

It's just you. He threw out the speedy I-Rod the other day.

"During his first four full seasons in the Majors, McCann retired just
23 percent (91-of-400) of the opponents who attempted to steal bases
against him. This year, the five-time All-Star catcher has proven
successful against 31 percent (21-of-67).

St. Louis' Yadier Molina (.476), Colorado's Miguel Olivo (.438) and Los
Angeles' Russell Martin (.379) are the only qualified National League
catchers who have proven to be more successful this year."

Just the games I watch/listen to, then.

He did make a good throw tonight, but then made up for it by missing
the tag out at the plate to save the game.

He's never going to be a great defensive catcher, but I think he's at
least adequate, and much better than Javy Lopez ever was, especially in
actually catching the ball.
