Madson's run scored on a strikeout passed ball that Schneider
said he should have caught. But yeah, 2 blown saves in 2

In Lidge's last 4 save opportunities, 3 have been blown. Ouch. Watching
that 9th last night, Lidge's fastball was high and his splitter wasn't
working. How do you teach mechanics to a MLB veteran?

Maybe Schneider should/could have caught the pitch, but Madson ran after the
ball instead of covering homeplate and directing Schneider to the ball.
Schneider recovered the ball in time but no one was covering home.

Also true. A good defensive pitcher can help himself out, but
if he's pitching well, that's my main concern.
