Ok....it took a long time to figure out what you talking about
but.....

Lowrie was the #5 prospect in the International League 2007. That's
still pretty good but he didn't show up in the overall top 100.
Ianetta was #92.

Lindy's 2009 Baseball Preview may have had it right on Lowrie:
"Switch hitter. Smooth swing either way. Understands the strike zone.
Makes better contact and shows more pop right-handed. Steady defender.
Has good hands
and a strong accurate arm. Doesn't have a lot of range. Looks more
like a utility infielder than a regular shortstop in the long term."

That may be his role with the Sox--utility infielder, and a good one.
