Deepest he's ever been in a game, and the best the reds have seen since John Smiley's one hitter over a decade ago. The beautiful, and absolutely unexpected part? 103 pitches and no BB! Man, if he could just bottle it. Maybe Homer learned something last night while charting and won't nibble tonight.. Stuff plus cold night = go right at 'em Even if it is the pirates, back to back sparkling appearance by Cueto and Homer would lighten even my cynical eye.
