yup -- but I'm thinking Ted Abernathy & Don Drysdale's sidearm fastball
driving right handers off the plate & looking for cover too....

You're killing me with these thread, you really should get a life and
I mean that in the nicest sense. ;-)

Tiant no doubt. Ken Holtzman. Burt Hooten. Bob Welch - the big year
with Oakland.

Ron Guidry. Vida Blue.

**Not to hijack the thread but something I started thinking about
especially when that baseball series "The Golden Age" was made. Once
baseball had the moving footage that was being shot - because of the
infancy of it and all - something I wished we had but don't.

But there in no footage of the old timers or some great teams where
there was a camera moving looking "directly" at the batter. Follow me?
There were MANY of the great hitters and pitchers also - but
especially the hitters where I'd pay a buck an at bat if it were on
tape or a website. I'd love to have seen The Babe's stance/ Cobb/ Hank
Greenburgh/ Joltin Joe no doubt - I'd love to see a couple full at
bats where the count at least got to two and two.....I could go on and
on about all the hitters who I'd love to see how they looked with the
camera shots of today. OK - I'm done.:-)

Just to be clear I meant the shots of an at bat from directly behind
the pitcher.
