what matters is runs not idiot fantasy league stats.

bases to outs is as meaningless a stat as there is.

it's that sort of midless statism that gets us ESPN calculating 30 LoB when
maybe 10 actually got on base and 4 scored.

ERA by itself can be misleading, and gives you very little projection value.

Kind of dumb to hang them on the pitcher though. Unless they commit the
errors.
