Out for the season, obviously. Gotta think there's a good chance that
ends his career as well. So who plays where the rest of the season?
Glaus at 3rd and Freeman at 1st? Prado at 3rd and Infante at 2nd?

Yes, no, maybe.

I'm guessing some creative filling in until the weekend, then Prado and
Infante at 3B/2B.

I know this Braves team has bounced back a lot this year, but this feels
like the end of this season to me. Unless Glaus can rediscover his
May/June form, it's tough to see how you the make up for this.

What exactly has Chipper done over the course of the season (not just
recently) to make you give up on this season?

Not to say it doesn't hurt, but it's not like we're losing Hudson. Or
even McCann or any number of other players. It's not like Chipper was
in contention for the MVP (nor was he one of the many Braves players who
made the All-Star team, for that matter).

FWIW, from baseball-reference, the WAR ranking:

McCann 3.7
Jones 3.1
Prado 2.4
Heyward 2.2
Infante 1.7
Hinske 1.1

the rest is under 1.0

Pitching

Hudson 5.0 (why isn't he mentioned in CY discussion?)
Venters 1.9 (!)
Wagner 1.8
Hanson 1.5

The rest is under 1.0 (Lowe - 0.6 WAR in 141 IP - oops. Farnsworth - in
2.2 IP - -0.5, while Kawakami in 83.1 "only" -0.6)

Using WAR values the loss of Jones will cost Braves about one win during
the rest of the season. It's a lot.
