Apparently, DeWitt has gone so far as to offer BRENDAN RYAN and others
for Oswalt.

So much for Danny Haren anyway. Given the Mulder debacle, I can't blame
them for being cautious, but Oswalt's history shows him able to consistently
pitch 200 innings per year at pretty high quality. The fact that he seems
to want to come to St. Louis should make him a fan favorite.

I don't believe there is much in the Cards' minor-leagues that
would interest Hou. to give up Oswalt in the exchange if there is only Ryan
and 2-3 minor league guys in return.
Despite Oswalt's desire to be here, it's up to the team, unless the
guy is a FA after this year, but he isn't.
Open up DeWallet (or better players), DeWitt, or you won't get him!

The buzz I keep hearing is potential phenom Shelby Miller is on the
table.

Miller, Hawksworth or Walter and Ryan.

That should get some notice.

I was a little worried last night with Luddy being out of the lineup,
that *he* might be part of the package.

Then the loutish Al Hrabosky reminded me of Luddy's numbers against
the Mutts starter.

I fear now that nothing will happen regarding Oswalt.
