Last night the Reds got the winning runs against the Marlins in the in the 11th,
and final, inning. The night before? Tenth inning. Both wins against the Cubs,
they got the go-ahead run in the eighth inning and didn't need the ninth since
they had the lead at home after 8-1/2. And the game they won against the
Cardinals was the walk-off dinger by Gomes.

So all five of their wins were basically won in their last at-bat. I guess this
is why managers get gray hair.

The middle of the order is looking a lot better. The top of the order
is horrific with a .273 OBP leading off and a .194 OBP batting 2nd.
Stubbs looks completely lost on any off-speed pitch. Dickerson could
get his chance soon. Stubbs also turned a routine play in to a
Taveras-like mishap last night, leading to a double.

I saw that one -- I played a lot of CF in my younger days & that ball hit
right at you was never any fun -- but then I wasn't exactly pro material
either...
