Good retorts RC, but you're wasting your time.
O'Hara is on welfare and as smart as a tree stump.

a filibuster is still a filibuster even if it fail it stll delay things.
the Dems entered a bill to improve veteren benefits.
the repund filibustered it. that caused a 4 week delay before cloture was
achieved. when the bill came up for the vote it passed 97-1.
1 Repub voted no, Kennedy and Byrd were both absent with health issuses, so
even when they overwhelmimgly approve they still filibuster.
maybe you should have paid attention in civics class.

Isn't Byrd next in the dead pool? Just asking.

(he is a fine former klansman)

Big pharma may be secretly supporting the bill, but not the insurance
companies. They gain from added coverage, but almost everything else
is stuff they do not like. Of course, with the public option, the
insurance companies would face a different situation, which is why
they worked so hard against it.

My guess is they understand that the public option could gain momentum if
nothing passed. They'll never admit it, but this plan is not that bad for
them. Better to throw people some kind of a bone.
