I refer you to my answer to Jim Gavarenta.

What Bowker did in Fresno should have escalated his trade value.

How many lefties to the Giants need in their bullpen? Affeldt and
Runzler will return shortly, and D-Train may be up later.

When the roster expands to 40, they can bring up Espineli and
Paterson. And Hinshaw if they want to.

How many lefties do they need?

Because we care more about making the major league playoffs than winning a
AAA title.

What, with seven lefties available for the bullpen instead of six?
That could be the key, all right!

You're a notorious cynic; you don't like anyone. When did you decide
that Javier Lopez was The Chosen One?

Well they don't have any right now, do they? That's the problem, one
that pushed the trade. With suck muscle and Runzler out, that pretty
much painted the picture for Sabean.

Nothing indicates how soon they'll be back, despite what Runzler
says. They are going to be facing a lot of teams that are strong
against right handed relievers.

Runlzler's dislocation is not something new, so there's a good chance
it might happen again ... then he's out again. Affeldt muscle problem
seems to be chronic, or at least recurrent.

Dtrain's a project without a future. They are not counting on him for
anything right now. If he shows something, he "might" be up with the
Giants. With his past, don't count on it.

Runzler - injured
Affeldt - injured
Sanchez - starter
Bumgardner - starter
Zito - starter

Guys that you overrate in Fresno don't count.

When did you decide that putting words in people's mouths made you smart?

Oh, and another thing:

Bowker career OPS: .678 in 475 AB. He had plenty of time to show whether
he could play or not.

And yet another thing:

Fred Lewis - Toronto OPS: .798 for a guy who can't play CF (and can barely
play left). I'm not weeping for his departure.
