Won't show in the box score but in the bottom of
the 8th with the DBACKS leading 4-2 and two outs
Ethier comes up. Runners were on second and
third. Ethier hit what looked like a routine ground
ball to secondbaseman Kelley Johnson, but the
surehanded Johnson, bobbles the ball, normally
one run might come in if they cannot get Ethier
at first, but the magic spin Ethier put on the ball,
seemed to have also made Johnson throw wild
to first allowing the second run to come in. So
even when good old dodger bum Ethier hits an
easy ground ball out, it turns into gold. What
are the baseball Gods thinking? Dodgers win
on a BALK. On a freakin Balk. Geeesh.
